The projects in this book represent the last 15 years of Manuel Cadrecha's work across a wide range of project types, clients, and geographies. From city-scale international developments to neighborhood schools, these works are grounded in his abiding interest in materials and form, color and light, the old in the new, and the search for the inspiring in the everyday. Featuring a foreword by Perkins+Will CEO Phil Harrison, the book includes preliminary hand sketches along with personal insights into the design inspiration for these now iconic buildings. Cadrecha seeks to de-mystify the architectural process, clearly identifying inspiration sources, and recognizing the benefits of a collaborative design process.
