James Hook is a grandfather of seven granddaughters and three grandsons. His writing began as his first grandchildren became avid readers with unlimited curiosity. Magic Square was his first book and here is rewritten and reformatted in industry standard size. It joins three other books in the Margie Series - Grammy's Stories and Ukraine Exchange - and soon a fourth - Ghosts of Forest Glen. A second series centers on the 1970s in rural Pennsylvania and France - Spruce Creek and In My Mother's Footsteps - for slightly older readers.
