The exponential growth of IT and computer technology is poised to lead to the emergence of what is often referred to as the Technological Singularity. In this scenario, artificial intelligence (AI) would surpass human intelligence and continue to evolve rapidly. Under such circumstances, there is a possibility that AI systems could develop self-awareness and eventually gain independence from humans. If humans fail to enhance our cognitive capacities and maintain superiority over AI, our evolutionary progress may stagnate, and decision-making could fall into the hands of machines, prioritizing objectives that may not align with our own. Such a scenario could potentially lead to a technological extinction, rendering our functions obsolete. Our society need to define strategies and policies to avoid a potential extinction and create a symbiotic relationship with AI as the only valid alternative for survival. At the same time we need to know where we stand today and where we are directed. We need a step by step roadmap to prevent potential Singularities that could disrupt our society.
