Joan Babcock is an internationally recognized fiber artist, jewelry designer, teacher, and author who has been creating one-of-a-kind jewelry and fiber art since 1988. She is known for her innovative approach which blend cords, beads, and metal elements together. Her unique designs have been featured in numerous fiber art and bead related books and magazines. She is the author of "Micro-Macrame Jewelry: Tips and Techniques for Knotting with Beads", "Wired Micro-Macrame Jewelry: Enhancing Fiber Designs with Wire", "Micro-Macrame Jewelry ll: Artful Designs for the Adventurous Knotter" and a DVD, "Micro-Macrame & Cavandoli Knotting, Level One". Joan lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband and business partner Jeff and their two cats.
