This work analyses the Maria da Penha Law in accordance with the Federal Constitution, showing that it covers much more than physical violence, which exposes gender differences through bruises, but also psychological suffering, sexual violence and property violence. The fact that men use physical force to achieve their goals clearly demonstrates their intellectual fragility in relation to women. According to Exame magazine, after gathering data from the 'Women, Business and the Law 2016' survey of 173 countries analysed by the World Bank, 46 of them have no specific legislation protecting women from domestic violence. Here I will solidify proven facts of violence against women in its various parameters, seeking to raise awareness of the importance of respecting women's dignity. I hope that this work will be useful enough to expand the thinking of many in favour of the defence of women, as well as helping to raise awareness of a more egalitarian country, aimed at a common good. Happy reading!
