Author J. Humann is a writer, songwriter, poet, and author of the inspiring new children's series, The Barnhof Adventures, which begins with Maribel Mouse (and the Barn Bakery). These children's stories feature adorably delightful country "critters" living in their "town" of Barnhof. The stories were designed to be fanciful rhymes, fun for early readers, and enjoyable read-aloud books for parents and teachers. As a non-profit director for children and youth programs for over 20 years, J. Humann has tailored each story to be humorous and endearing, teaching universal life lessons such as friendship, community, and safety while empowering children to have positive, "can-do" attitudes. J. is a mother of three grown children and grandmother of three little girls. She lives with her husband (and critters) in Nashville, Tennessee. The author and illustrator met in Germany while both were living abroad due to their spouse's U.S. military service. Illustrator Sharon Graham Smith, a native of New Mexico, is an artist who works in watercolor, acrylic and dabbles in oil paint. She has paintings and murals scattered throughout the world to include Belgium, Germany, Japan and the United States. She credits God for her artistic skill. Sharon currently lives in Montana with her husband and five sons. The author and illustrator met in Germany while both were living abroad due to their spouse's U.S. military service.
