Elizabeth Rusch es autora de muchos libros de no ficción para niños. Algunos de sus títulos premiados son Volcano Rising y Electrical Wizard: How Nikola Tesla Lit Up the World. De la aclamada serie de libros Scientists in the Field se destacan The Mighty Mars Rovers, Eruption!, galardonado con la mención Orbis Pictus, y The Next Wave. Teresa Martínez nació en México. De niña era muy tímida y dibujar le servía para relacionarse con sus compañeros de escuela. De adulta estudió diseño gráfico y comenzó a ilustrar libros.
