Marius Onofra started his career at hometown club Politehnica Ia i, moving through the youth sistems and making his debut in the senior squad in 1998. Wanting to play in the Romanian Liga I, he moved to FC Bra ov. Onofra had a succesfull spell at FC Bra ov playing also in the UEFA Europa League. He left the team in 2004.
