Autorenporträt
Born and raised in Romania, in a small town, where the farmer's market was and still is an institution. I was a child of the 90' and I spent my summer days climbing trees, eating fruits from wherever I could get them and being chased by stray dogs. The pitch of a merchandiser has always been serious business to me, sometimes wishing I could embody the same level of confidence and resilience in school and later in life. Writing has given me the sort of happiness that I could not find anywhere else. It gave me the gift of imagining a new life everyday and taught me to be grateful of the one I already received. I used writing to escape, like Mara used other people's past to reimagine her present. Now I no longer wish to escape, but to honor the fruits I grew up with and the community that made me who I am today.
