Autorenporträt
Anneli Purchase lives on Vancouver Island. Canada's west coast is a scenic adventure playground. Here, with close ties to the fishing industry, Anneli became acquainted with many colourful characters who lived and worked on the coast. They have inspired her to write "The Wind Weeps" and its sequel, "Reckoning Tide." "Marlie" is set in Haida Gwaii and is closely connected to these novels. Her other novels have equally exotic settings: "Orion's Gift" takes place on the Baja Peninsula and "Julia's Violinist" is set in postwar Europe.
