Autorenporträt
William David and Aída Besançon Spencer, married in August 1972, have written and edited six books together. Ordained Presbyterian ministers, the Spencers have spoken at churches, conferences and classes on different biblical, theological and experiential aspects of marriage, and have counseled many couples before and during marriage. They both serve on the faculty of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Aída as professor of New Testament and Bill as professor of theology and the arts. Celestia Tracy (M.A.) is founder and president of Mending the Soul Ministries, an organization committed to providing education and resources for the church and community on abuse, sexuality and healthy intimacy. Celestia is in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a partner with Professional Counseling Associates. Steve Tracy (Ph.D.) is professor of theology and ethics and Phoenix Seminary. He has published numerous articles on sexuality and abuse and is author of the book Mending the Soul: Understanding and Healing Abuse. He also serves on the Arizona governor's Commission to Prevent Violence Against Women. With his wife, Celestia, he is cofounder of Mending the Soul Ministries, an organization committed to providing education and resources for the church and community on abuse, sexuality and healthy intimacy. Steve and Celestia Tracy are high-school sweethearts and have been married for more than thirty years. For the past decade they have enjoyed an extensive speaking ministry in the United States and Africa on sexuality, marriage and abuse. Celestia is a licensed professional counselor and founding partner of Professional Counseling Associates, a private Christian counseling practice in Mesa, Arizona. Steve teaches at Phoenix Seminary as professor of theology and ethics.
