Within the parameters of their collective life experiences, Sarah and Jonathan formed a spiritual union of unrealized aggression and misunderstood passion that defied external norms and observation. Romeo and Juliet they were not. They were a twisted abstraction of wild roses and desperation-beauty in its own right-fleeting but mesmerizing in its explosion of petals and blood. Jonathan is Marsupial Man. He drinks too much, can't write worth a crap, and likes to discuss politically incorrect topics. His girlfriend, Sarah, calls him a marsupial (among other things), and their relationship is based more on sex than love. Yet, amid the smoky haze of his joint, Jonathan often likes to think there might be more to life than what he's experiencing right now. And that's when he and Sarah, along with their friend TJ, decide to kill something, believing death will bring new meaning to their otherwise mundane lives. But where to begin? Cats in a microwave are too messy, and boiling small rodents just isn't acceptable. Besides, they don't have a strainer anyway . Armed with wasted intelligence and a plethora of philosophical jargon, the three embark on a tenuous journey of self-discovery-and annihilation.
