Lauren lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Lauren worked in the public education system for ten years with children and youth, between the ages of 5 to18 years old, asboth a teacher and counsellor. Currently, Lauren works in privatecounselling practice. Originally, Martha and the Mighty Vortex was written as a teachable resource to learn about the challenges of belonging and self identity, and how to overcome these obstacles with the power of the self. Lauren has an innate feeling that inorder to continue to expand our state of consciousness on the planet, we will have to connect to ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
