Autorenporträt
Michelle Path is a 23-times-published, award-winning children's author from West Gippsland, Australia, where she lives on a small farm with her beloved animals. Michelle's love of reading started at a young age, leading to her writing her own stories as a child. Many of her books incorporate messages such as caring for animals and the environment or deal with current issues in order to engage with children, capture their imaginations and encourage them to develop a love for reading and books. She also likes to use humour in her stories, which is particularly evident in her popular Xalien the Purple Alien series. Recently, Michelle's short story Phantasmagorical Phobias won the New Apple Book Award for short story fiction; she also received a silver award from The Wishing Shelf Book Awards for The Cowboy Who Was Scared of Horses. Her books are recognised worldwide and have gained many five-star reviews and numerous other awards. When not writing, Michelle enjoys riding her horses, walking her dogs, seeing live bands, or going to the theatre.
