Autorenporträt
Being a father of three daughters William's imagination is constantly being exercised, especially at night when its bedtime. William's girls loved books, and the bedtime ritual that came with reading them. One night, William's oldest who was 5 at the time asked for a story instead. That is when it began. It was such a hit that every night William had to make up a new story to keep the girls interested. Eventually, making up new content on a daily basis just to keep his children occupied became almost a second job. William even found himself typing bullet points on his phone at work to help him string together a story for that night. William always has been a strong believer in the power of imagination, he loves magical-ness, phantasy and anything, well, weird. So, he figured it really wouldn't be that hard, for maybe 6 or 7 "ok" stories! But weeks and even months of stories? That seemed impossible. Out of this conundrum, "Mary and the Magic Bed" was born, the first book of a series of books. William figured, if he had, set characters, a theme, and a problem to solve, he would at least have a fighting chance when it came to his biggest critics (his kids). He combined this approach with his oldest daughter's obsession with asking questions, her underwhelming feeling of going to bed, and created the "Magic Bed" series. Always a question, always an imaginative answer, always an adventure!
