Autorenporträt
Wencke Braathen grew up on an island in the fjord outside of Oslo, the capital of Norway. Attending a Lutheran High School, she was encouraged to question and find her own interpretation of the Biblical stories. At a young age, she concluded that there had to be some chapters missing and dedicated herself to finding them. She came to the US as a student at MIU in Iowa to study meditation and how it related to regular college subjects like physics, chemistry and philosophy. This education has been the foundation for her belief system her entire life. She lives in Chicago with her husband and their animals, the German Shephard Daisy and the Calico Cat Gertrude.
