This book presents and describes the discourses of young men and women from Tinguiña in social contexts (friends, family, love relationships, peers, etc.) with the objective of analyzing the visions and perceptions of masculinities in the district of La Tinguiña, considering the scenario of gender equality and taking into account the six dimensions of the GEM Gender Equitable Attitudes Scale.The methodology used was at the level of primary data collection: autoethnography and discourse analysis, the first was done by free narration, in the case of the second the structured interview technique was used, which allowed us to analyze the speeches, as well as secondary data, which considered the collection of reports, studies and reports on gender equality. Finally, this work hopes to be a source of scientific consultation, to be used in studies on gender equality and masculinities, which will help to analyze the current state of masculinities.

Dr. in Public Management and Governance (UCV-Peru), Master in Social Communication (UCM-Spain) and Bachelor in Communication Sciences (UNSLG-Peru). He has worked as a teacher at the Universidad Nacional San Luis Gonzaga and at the Universidad Tecnológica del Perú. Member of JCI Peru and second vice dean of the College of Journalists of Ica.
