Freemasonry and esotericism, are two very complex and controversial subjects that have always been linked. Here they are exposed as a mandala that deepens in several points of interest, and that arouse the curiosity of many for different reasons. Regarding Freemasonry, it is stated that it encompasses both exoteric and esoteric elements, therefore, we can say that it is a philosophy and a material practice. As for the esoteric, it has been the target of Western fanaticism due to the indoctrination that has considered it as a dangerous or fanciful subject. The truth is that esotericism is the basic exposition of concepts and knowledge, based on analysis of what cannot be seen with the naked eye. What we can appreciate from the Ancient Mysteries to the Rite of Memphis-Mizraim, which is composed of a series of ritual aspects with esoteric and spiritual purposes. This work is intended not only for those who practice this rite, but also for anyone interested in the history of the initiatory movements as a whole. In the century of the Enlightenment there were many fashions that coincided with Freemasonry, which spread among the more prosperous strata of society, and with Egyptomania, which then had its heyday. This gave rise to a diversity of rites that were fundamental to the development of Freemasonry known as Egyptian Masonry. Sometimes united, sometimes dispersed in a multitude of tendencies, the Egyptian Masonic rites created under the names of Memphis and Mizraim offer a surprising panorama of abundant symbolism. There, the most daring interpretations coexist with the deepest esoteric and spiritual investigations. They are practiced today in almost all the major Grand Lodges or Grand Orientals of the world, but also in many independent lodges.
