Michael McBee grew up on Chicago's South Side. In the late nineties,his work relocated him to New Orleans, Louisiana. Michael taught Physical Education and Basic Computer Skills to 2nd graders, until he was forced to leave New Orleans with his two sons, Julian and Matthew, due to Hurricane Katrina. Michael moved his family to Knoxville, Tennessee, where he received a master's degree of Elementary Education, from the University of Tennessee. Michael now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Tasha; son, Mason; and their dog, CoCo. Michael spends his free time writing and recently started a non-profit called "For My Brother," to mentor at-risk,minority, male youths.
