The study emphasized the interaction between mass media and rural development in a modern village of western Uttar pradesh (India). The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between mass media and social economic development in the rural population in a completely rural economical and sociological setting. Apart from the above, this study aiming also to assess the status, role and performance of newspaper, radio and television and mobiles as a means of mass media in the village. Moreover, it identifies the informational needs of the rural people through newspapers, radio and television. It is also analyzed to evaluate the nature of influence of mass media in the process of rural development.
