The essays in Mass Media Socialization Research are grouped into three parts: Theoretical FoundationsMass Media Socialization StudiesStudies in Various Contexts of Mass Media Socialization Qingwen Dong (Ph.D. Communication, Washington State University) is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at University of the Pacific (Stockton, California), where he teaches communication research methods, intercultural communication and graduate seminars on mass communication. He is author or coauthor of more than 40 research papers that have appeared in scholarly journals and communication publications. He has presented more than 70 communication research papers at international, national, and regional communication conferences. In 2009, he received the Faculty Mentor Award from University of the Pacific and he was the University Eberhardt Teacher/Scholar Award Recipient in 2007.
