Handling of dust laden gases with the presence of gases pollutant which are usually emitted from the Industrial Units has became major problems to avoid air pollution. It is an approach to have efficient unit for such treatments, one such unit is a venturi scrubber. The efficient contact of gases (containing solids or without solids) with liquids can be observed through high contact areas and resistance offered during the transfer of pollutant gases. Venturi scrubbers are applied to air pollution control problems where they high collection efficiencies are required and where most of the particulates are of smaller than 3 microns and as well as gaseous matter which are more corrosive in nature . In India, it is being employed for NPR / DAP plants of fertilizer industries. As the residence time of liquid droplet in a venturi in small ( distance travelled between throat and end of diffuser ),it was thought to in increase it by using performed spray arrangement, so that the gas -liquid as well the interfacial area will be higher . The present work reports the interfacial area, liquid and gas side mass transfer coefficient, true liquid and gas side mass transfer coefficient and liquid.
