In this work, a web based system to match job requirements with profiles of jobseekers was developed. Uganda Management Institute Kampala was chosen as the case study due to its strategic location, big size and employee capacity. The system developed was intended to save time and reduce costs incurred by employers in the process of matching job requirements with applicants' profiles and jobseekers finding the right jobs. To achieve the intended objectives, interviews and literature review were used for data collection so as to gain knowledge about existing job matching systems; the guiding research question was "what is the contribution of web based technology towards the effectiveness of the recruitment process in organizations?"
