This work provides information on natural fibers that are available as reinforcements for polymeric-based composites and details on natural fiber composites, carbon fiber composites, glass reinforced composites and the trend of other composite materials in modern material production. Also included are their advantages and disadvantages, matrix system, fiber and matrix interfacial bonding, including mechanical, thermal, environmental, chemical and physical properties of natural fiber composites and their applications. It moreover, discusses the challenging task of expanding the applications of various composites for several industrial applications like automotive, aerospace, marine, renewable energy, electrical, dentistry and unmanned systems. This research work focused on natural fiber (corn husk-polyethylene) composites, evaluation of its mechanical properties (Tensile, Impact and flexural) and minimizing the environmental problems caused by corn husk disposal.
