The focus of this book is the exploration of mathematics educator's constructivist beliefs and aligned teaching practices in a pre-service primary teacher education degree programme. An integral part of this exploration is the identification of aspects of lecturers practice that had a significant impact in enhancing the adoption of constructivist ideas on learning and constructivist-aligned teaching practices by student teachers. The practical focus is on more effective course teaching within the philosophical framework of constructivism while the theoretical focus is on the development of a constructivist approach to teacher education for teacher educators through the medium of mathematics education.
