Furthermore, portfolios may also help teachers to shape their instruction, guide students through learning process and be able to identify each student's need. This book provides some information on the uses of learning portfolios to enrich mathematics classes and its effects on learning strategies such as critical thinking, elaboration, metacognitive self-regulation, peer learning and motivation such as extrinsic and intrinsic goal orientation and self-efficacy. This book also has some indications to show that portfolio has various positive implications on learning, learning strategies, achievement and motivation.
