Mary E. Trimble, award-winning novelist, lives with her husband on Camano Island, Washington. Their family, most of whom live in the Northwest, play an important role in their lives. Trimble has written two memoirs, Sailing with Impunity: Adventure in the South Pacific, and Tubob: Two Years in West Africa with the Peace Corps, and has been a frequent guest speaker to groups interested in those topics. Her previous three contemporary-western novels have met with acclaim. A prolific writer and author of 400-plus magazine and newspaper articles, Trimble draws on personal experiences including purser and ship's diver aboard the tall ship, M.S. Explorer; two years with the Peace Corps in West Africa; a 13,000-mile South Pacific sailing trip aboard their 40-foot Bristol, Impunity; and extensive overland RV trips. She recently retired after serving 20 years as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. The author is an active member of Women Writing the West and Pacific Northwest Writers Association, and is also a member of The Authors Guild and Electronically Published Internet Connection
