Kurt Jacobsen is a research associate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago. He is the author of numerous articles and books, including Technical Fouls: Democratic Dilemmas and Technological Change, Dead Reckonings: Ideas, Interests, and Politics in the 'Information Age', and Chasing Progress in the Irish Republic.
