Autorenporträt
Chantelle Moynihan-Rector, M.Ed. was born in Camp LeJeune, NC. She has her master's in education with a concentration in school counseling. She has been a practicing school counselor for 20 years in Gilford, NH, where she currently lives. Her experience as a school counselor over the course of two decades has given her a unique perspective on how fear and anxiety have increased among our school-age population. It is her hope that this book and Max will help kids see that fear is normal and that having strategies can help ease and overcome those fears so they can maneuver the world more confidently. In addition to being a first-time children's author and school counselor, Chantelle is a mother to three, a stepmother to two, a wife, an entrepreneur, and a dog mom to Max, a retired police K9, and Juliet (aka Jules). She enjoys spending time outdoors and playing her new favorite sport, pickleball. :)Chantelle is looking forward to publishing her next book about Max's struggles to get into the police K9 program. His high energy and high drive (ADHD in human terms :)) almost kept him out of the training program. It wasn't until he was trained in a way that he learned best that he became a very successful, highly regarded part of the police force. Her husband is a retired police officer who was Max's handler.
