This book introduces the Maximum Entropy concept which is considered as a flexible and powerful tool for density approximation, the maximum entropy density has found some applications in econometrics, thermodynamics, statistical physics, statistical mechanics, and image enhancement, signal processing, biology as well as finance. This book introduces the Maximum Entropy concept which is considered as a flexible and powerful tool for density approximation, the maximum entropy density has found some applications in econometrics, thermodynamics, statistical physics, statistical mechanics, and image enhancement, signal processing, biology as well as finance. The main objective of this book is to develop a new control charts using maximum entropy statistics and compare the performance of the proposed chart with the traditional control charts namely; x ,R,S and Tukey using average run length (ARL). A modified maximum entropy control chart using maximum entropy distribution is built and its results are compared with the traditional control charts by measuring its performance using ARL. Finally, in addition to the simulation results a practical example is provided using real industrial data.
