Like medieval mystics wanting to understand and even merge with God, many people today want to comprehend their relationship to the universe, but also feel comfortable in it. Finding one's place in the vastness of time and space is a daunting task for which searchers need all the help they can get. In Me and the Big Bang, Richey Novak shares reflections from his own quest to find the meaning and purpose of life while exploring the often complicated man-universe relationship. Novak uses insights from the worlds of science, anthropology, and psychology to outline the unfolding of the universe from the moment of origin down a long evolutionary path that ultimately culminated, for him, in individual consciousness and self-awareness. Tracing a path from the Big Bang theory to the evolution of man to myths and religions, Novak provides answers to the common questions that virtually all humans have at one time or another. Me and the Big Bang an intimate, honest exploration of the process of coming into being and living a rich, full life that will help anyone ready to embark on their own journey to the truth.
