Beth Westcott's passion for writing began in second grade when her poem about a lamb appeared in the school newspaper. In third grade, she wrote a puppet play. She completed the basic course from the Institute of Children's Literature in 1992, which started her on a writing journey of challenge and reward. Beth grew up on a small farm in Upstate New York, the youngest of seven siblings. After graduating from Hartwick College with a major in English, she married Frank. They have three married, adult children and six grandchildren, one of whom is in heaven. For more than thirty years Beth assisted her husband in ministry, first with Child Evangelism Fellowship in Northeast Pennsylvania, and then as a pastor's wife. She has taught Bible Clubs, Sunday School, and women's Bible studies, and has been actively involved in church music ministry. For twelve years she homeschooled her children. She enjoys sewing, gardening, and music, along with reading and writing. Lillenas Drama published some of her holiday manuscripts in their Program Builders. Several of her devotions appeared in Penned from the Heart and one in The Secret Place. A short story for preteens, "Sadie in the Princess," was included in Heartwarming Horse Stories published on Amazon. Beth's goal is to write to honor God and help others.
