Doris R. Parker-Newton retired Casework Spervisor, Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, formerly licensed Psychiatric Nurse, Philadelphia State Hospital. Graduate of Berean College, Philadelphia, attended Philadelphia Community College, and Temple University.Doris is married to James G. Newton and resides in suburbs of Pottstown Pennsylvania. Doris has published 2005, in Surrender to the moon The Harmony of Silence 2000. Nominated Poet of the year by International Library of Poets 2000. Doris started writting out of a deep hunger to give meaning to our daily life experiences. "Putting my thoughts to voice is my way of sharing a gift to special people who have tavelled with me."
