According to many authors,Jovicic [29],Popescu [53], Graeme[17], Eagles [14], the comparative indicators can be a good starting point for determination of the degree of development sustainability of tourism.The elaborated method of measuring the intensity of sustainable tourism development provides the ability to diminish the imprecision, vagueness and ambiguities that accompany the measurement of comparative indicators when the measurement results are shownin fuzzy sets and for assessing the sustainability of tourism development the theory of fuzzy logic is used.

Nenad Stojanovic is a professor at the School of the Applied Medical Sciences,where he teaches Ecology.He studied mathematics at the University of Zagreb(BA), University of N.Sad,(MA in Mathematics).In addition,he studied tourism(MA)at the University of-Educons.The field of interest is the sustainable development of tourism and applied mathematics.
