The present study looks into urban sprawl and urban land transformation of Rohtak city with the help of remote sensing and GIS techniques. Physical expansion of the city along the major national or state highway is very fast especially along the National Highway No. 10 towards Delhi, the national capital of India. The study also takes a look at the future urban development of the city through land suitability analysis. The study critically evaluates the Draft Development Plan of Rohtak city for 2025.

D. in Geography from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, India. Dr. Singh has also done a course on Advanced Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS Applications.
