This book provides an accurate experimental identification and modeling of the mechanical behavior of Ti-6Al-4V alloy (Titanium Gr. 5) under multiple loading and temperature conditions. First, it presents the experimental developments and full-field 3D-Digital Image Correlation set-up required for the proper calibration of the material models. Then, two approaches to plasticity models are considered in order to capture the experimentally observed features of the alloy: strain rate hardening, temperature sensitivity, plastic anisotropy and strength differential effect. Finally, the two models…mehr

Produktbeschreibung
This book provides an accurate experimental identification and modeling of the mechanical behavior of Ti-6Al-4V alloy (Titanium Gr. 5) under multiple loading and temperature conditions. First, it presents the experimental developments and full-field 3D-Digital Image Correlation set-up required for the proper calibration of the material models. Then, two approaches to plasticity models are considered in order to capture the experimentally observed features of the alloy: strain rate hardening, temperature sensitivity, plastic anisotropy and strength differential effect. Finally, the two models are assessed by comparing load and shape predictions with experimentally obtained data. The information provided in this book is essentially used by designers and manufacturers of components and parts of Ti-6Al-4V alloy.
