Due to their excellent mechanical qualities, low density, and high strength-to-density ratio, alloys from the aluminum-7075 class are frequently employed in the transportation industries, including aerospace, aviation, marine, and automobiles. The focus of the current review is on the mechanical, tribological, and corrosion behaviour of Al-7075 metal matrix composites (AMMCs) with desired reinforcements. The goal is to review the literature on the fabrication of alloy-and-reinforcement-based aluminium metal matrix composite materials. Particulate SiC, Al2O3, Gr, TiO2, bagasse ash, etc. may be used as reinforcements. The stir casting technique incorporates these particle reinforcements. The findings showed that the mechanical qualities have significantly improved. Low coefficient of thermal expansion compared to standard base alloys, superior wear and corrosion resistance.
