This book evaluates the suitability of different recycled waste materials as construction additives to unfired clay bricks and putting waste materials into good use in the construction sector, instead of landfill damping disrupting the ecological balance. The analyzed additive materials are recycled polymeric, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) & Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) wastes and Recycled Wastewater treatment sludge; as well as recycled date pits wastes and recycled Typha-Fibers wastes. In addition, this research also adopts a cleaner production protocol developing low energy demand unfired bricks exempted from high firing temperatures, while producing brick samples with good functioning mechanical, physicochemical and thermally insulating properties, following national and international building standards.
