The book is divided in nine chapters. The first chapter is devoted to a review of the mathematical concepts necessary to a good understanding of this book. The second chapter describes the kinematics of single material point. The notion of trajectory, velocity and acceleration (tangential and normal) are presented. The laws of composition of velocities and accelerations are treated in the third chapter. In paricular, Coriolis and centrifugal accelerations are introduced. Chapter 4 deals mainly with the concept of force and Newton's second law in Galilean or non-Galilean frame. The concepts of energy, power and conservative forces are introduced in Chapter five. Chapters six, seven and eight are devoted to the study of angular momentum, central forces and dynamics of systems of N material points. The last chapter presents a study of harmonic oscillator under different regimes. Many solved problems are discussed in order to facilitate the understanding of the concepts and laws.
