Educations believe that technology has great potential to improve second language learning. They point out that technological tools assist our learners in one more of the following ways: to sustain motivation, to give exposure, to facilitate communication, to provide practice, to strengthen concept. Formation, to lead towards application, and to afford faster and fairer evaluation. Yet, such potentiality of technology should not be construed as a natural or logical course because of the unassailable fact that various technological tools and processes have not been invented for the prime purpose of language teaching or learning. Television as a technological tool was invented solely for entertainment. It should be an education's duty interprets the potential of TV as a tool to assist the learners in improving their second language acquisition capability Yong Zhao calls this a figuring out process and states: this is essentially a reinventing process that translates the capacities of a technology into a solution to a problem in the second language learning process.
