Median trees and shrubs are a significant biodiversity component of the major streets of the Gaza City. They provide a range of environmental, psychological, socio-economic and aesthetic values. The current study, which is the first of its kind in Gaza Strip, aims at identifying and assessing the median trees and shrubs in five selected streets in Gaza City. This book, therefore, provides valuable information on the current status, numbers and frequency of median trees and shrubs of Gaza City. The ecological awareness of local people towards these biodiversity components is considered as well. This will help improve the conservation status of street trees and shrubs in a sustainable fashion in the Gaza Strip.
