A study on Mediation in Constitutional Law: the Case of French-speaking Black African States justifies a priori its timeliness and relevance in a political and legal context marked by a plethora of political crises and conflicts related to the violation of constitutional norms . However, such reflection, to our knowledge, has not yet been carried out in constitutional law in general, and in African constitutional law in particular. This study, which aims to find out what the function of mediation in constitutional law is, therefore comes at the right time. On observation, two salient features of the function of mediation in constitutional law emerge, which we have retained in the context of this study. This is on the one hand the function of preventing the mediation of internal political crises, on the other hand the function of managing internal political crises or conflicts.
