The problem of domestic violence in general, and its type such as violence by a spouse/partner against a woman, has attracted the attention of scholars and practitioners because of its frequent occurrence and its adverse impact on the personality and health of all family members. Doctors can make a significant contribution to the prevention of incidents of domestic violence and the rehabilitation of its victims. This book presents the results of the first Russian research in general medical practice on medical and psychological aspects of spousal/partner violence against a woman in connection with the organization of medical and psychological help for the victims.
