Photography has penetrated most aspects of our lives. In the sciences photography has been embraced due to its ability to illustrate and communicate conditions, concepts and/or procedures accurately. Medical photography also known as biomedical, biological or clinical photography is a specialized genre of photography concerned with taking scientific photos. These pictures are mainly used for record/documentation, education/training, and medico-legal purposes. This book provides an overview on what medical photography entails, and an insight into photography practices in a medical setting. Included in this book are findings from a case study among graduate students of Makerere University College of Health Sciences. The findings suggested that majority are exposed to medical photography. As a unique genre of photography, there is need to identify common habits and formulate procedures to regulate and/or make improvements in this area of documentation.
