Sentaro Kimura, M.D., Ph.D., FACSProfile:1938 - Born in Tokyo1957 - Graduated Kaho High School, Fukuoka1963 - Graduated Kyushu University Medical School (5-dan in kendo)After graduating, spent one year interning at the US Air Force Tachikawa Hospital in Tachikawa, Tokyo. Joined the 2nd Surgery Department of Kyushu University School of Medicine.Starting in July 1965, spent seven years in the US for clinical surgery training, starting with five years of surgery training at the Des Moines Veteran's Hospital and Iowa University. After returning to Japan in 1972, worked at Iizuka Hospital while studying to obtain doctorate from Kyushu University School of Medicine in 1975. Returned back to Iowa in the same year and obtained license to practice medicine in Iowa. Worked as chief of Head & Neck Department and head physician of surgery at Des Moines Veteran's Hospital. Passed American Board of Surgery examination in 1977. Opened practice in 1978 in Des Moines, while covering night shifts at two other Des Moines hospitals. During this, also obtained certification as an instructor for Basic and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for the AHA, and helped teach doctors, nurses, and paramedics from ERs and national hospitals. Became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) in 1981. Returned to Japan the same year, and acted as director at Hita Central Hospital in Hita, Oita Prefecture. Became director of Nakagawa Hospital in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City in 1986.Opened the Kimura Sentaro Clinic in Miyake, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City in April 2001. Provides a variety of advice on health, gives referrals to specialists, and offers treatments utilizing knowledge in the latest in orthomolecular medicine.
