Introduction: Vesico-sphincter dyssynergy is one of the major disorders of bladder emptying. It mainly affects a young and active population and can alter the quality of life of the patients by inducing mictional disorders. Several treatments have been proposed but none of them has been the subject of a consensus and the strategy of management is not unanimous among the authors. Objectives: To demonstrate the effectiveness of the medical treatment associating a muscle relaxant (Baclofen) with an alpha-blocker (Doxazosin), in the treatment of idiopathic bladder-sphincter dyssynergia. Methods: Prospective analytical study including 50 patients with idiopathic vesico-sphincter dyssynergia confirmed by a urodynamic study, carried out in the urology department of the Sahloul University Hospital. All our patients received a medical treatment associating Baclofen and Doxazosin according to a predefined protocol. A clinical and echographic control and a debimetry were performed at 2 and 4 months to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment.
