The present book deals with the study of some of the medicinal plants used by the Soliga tribes of the Biligirirangana Hills, Karnataka, India. These tribes use these medicinal plants for traditional health care. 51 medicinal plants collected from Biligirirangana Hills were identified employing standard taxonomic keys. A detailed account of their botanical name, local name, habitat, parts of plant used, mode of consumption, diseases against which they are used and preparation methods are presented in the book. The book serves as a Bible for the researchers who wish to work on medicinal plants of India in general and Biligirirangana Hills in particular.
