The present work describes total phenol content, antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory activity and isolation of compounds from three different medicinal plants of Kashmir valley viz. Platanus orientalis, Cedrus deodara and Populas alba. Twenty nine extracts were prepared in different solvents of increasing polarity (chloroform, methanol and water) of three plant parts viz. stem, root and leaves and also whole plant extracts were prepared with petroleum ether and methanol.
