The word medicine is derived from the Latin ars medicina,meaning the art of healing. Ten Clinically important botanical species are used for the study. They are- Neem,Amlaki,Haritaki,Bohera,Josti-Modhu, Sarpagandha,Tulsi,Arjun,Dhutra,Shatamuli.The study was conducted among the rural population of Tangail a district of Bangladesh.The interview was conducted October- November,2011.
