Annick de Souzenelle, a great centenarian lady, meditates on the last adventure that is our death: on the mutation we undertake during this process, on the capacity to transcend our animal part when we 'give up our soul' and, finally, on what she calls 'the guardians of the thresholds of evolution' that we are constantly confronted with, both in life and in the afterlife. This dazzling work concludes with a conversation on consciousness.
